Ready to add sugar and spice to your health? On my travels to many parts of the world I’ve found great RECIPE ideas that are easy (that’s the sugar part) and strangely amazing (that’s the spice part).
One of the most bothersome questions of my day is, What should I make for dinner?Seriously, I walk to each family member and ask the question. I’ll make it, just give me an idea. Needless to say, the troop looks at me as though I’m speaking a foreign language. Maybe I am!
One day I came up with a solution that fit my interests and stirred my thoughts. Now…
First, I choose a country or culture. This could be as simple as American Pastime, which includes a wide variety: pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, mac and cheese, etc. Or Asian, Italian, American southwest, Southern, Mexican, French, British, Middle East, etc. Hmm…. what sounds good? You have the idea.
Second, I scan the cupboards for ingredients on hand. I am a homecook and don’t want to squeeze in a trip to the grocery store at this time. Neither am I the super organized cook who dutifully plans out the family meals for the month and buys groceries accordingly. BUT, I want to serve my family a good meal.

Resting is more than putting our feet up and watching a mindless TV show, or taking a nap. While both can be pleasing, they may not meet the need for a healthy rest.

Online socializing has been a great help during 2020 from office to church to friends and family. BUT- Meeting in person is so much better. The benefits we get from seeing one another, sharing our thoughts and needs, hearing other’s voices and responding in conversation are immeasureable.
