Do you remember, long, long ago, when an adult sat near you and read the nursery rhyme story This is the House That Jack Built?

Jack lives in the house he built, but he doesn’t live alone. There’s a rat who ate the cheese, the cat who killed the rat, the dog who worried the cat, and a host of others in and near his house. Poor Jack! And let us not forget the forlorn maiden whom he loved and wanted to marry.

This nursery rhyme story, which takes place in and near the house that Jack built, builds his community, and the words on each page, adding one piece of his story at a time.

This story is Inspirational in so many ways!

This is all we have to do when writing a story or trying to complete any task. Each day, add a little bit more. Keep the goal reasonable. Ten words. A hundred. A thousand. As long as you build a little more of the story, you will find those coveted words, The End.
